P. 162 Jacob Eichelberger b. November 27, 1838; d. January 18, 1895 buried in Oak Forest, August 8, 1862 enlisted with Ohio Infantry Company G of the 79th Regiment. Captured at Monocacy Junction and held as a POW at Libby Prison, Richmond, VA.
P. 164 Samuel Wesley Gilmore b. 1842, Greene County, PA; d. January 24, 1916 Greene County, PA, buried at Oak Forest. Enlisted 1862 as a private in Company K, 14th West Virginia Infantry; wounded in the battle of Cloid Montain. Served until the end of the War.
P. 286 Jacob Kirkhart b. July 10, 1837; d. October 17, 1872 Monongalia County, WV; buried at Mount Tabor Cemetery. Jacob was a member of Company N, Sixth Virginia Volunteer Infantry in the Army of the United States (1861-1864). This is the same unit as Daniel White, William Thomas White and Henry S. White.
P. 297 Henry Soloman White b. July 12, 1940, Monongalia County, WV; d. January 1, 1931. Commonly known as “Sol.” Soldier in Union Army, Company N, Sixth Virginia Volunteer Infantry Army of the United States. Kept diary September 1861-June 1865.

P. 308 William Thomas White b. April 30, 1842, Monongalia County, WV; d. August 16, 1914, Greene County, PA. Enlisted in the 6th Virginia Volunteer Infantry in 1861 and served until the end of the War.
P. 365 John White b. May 17, 1845, Monongalia County, WV; d. January 11, 1864 Bridgeport, WV; buried in the Thomas White Family Cemetery. Unmarried. John died while serving the Union during the Civil War. He served in Company N, 6th West Virginia Volunteer Infantry. He died of typhoid fever in Bridgeport, WV.
P. 458 William O. Hennen b. August 2, 1838, Jollytown, PA; d. September 29, 1915, Wadestown, WV. Served in Company N, 6th (West) Virginia Volunteer Infantry. Suffered from measles. Pensioned in later years.
P. 489 Richard Armstrong White b. January 14, 1827, Monongalia County, WV; d. June 20, 1868, Maple, WV. Served as a Captain in the 178th/16th Union Militia during the Civil War (picture in uniform) . Other family members also served in this unit: Joseph Shackelford, Daniel, Michael, Simon Lauch, Thomas, Eli and Stephen.
P. 586 Daniel White b. December 11, 1831, Monongalia County, WV; d. August 5, 1904, Milton, WV. Served as First Sergeant in Company N of the 6th (West) Virginia Volunteer Infantry. Wounded in the left knee at Morgantown, WV on April 15, 1865.
Elisha Darling: buried in White Family Cemetery with his wife and two children. His precise relationship to the family has not yet been determined. It is thought he must be a related to Mary Darling White. He served in Co. “K” of the 14th West Va. Infantry as a private/drummer.
